Louise Farmer – SDS Community Facilitator Aberdeen

Louise qualified as a Social Worker in 1981 and spent most of the time as a practitioner and manager working in mental health; this gave her a good grounding for everything that she has done since then.  She has worked in the voluntary sector since 1991 and is very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with a variety of organisations, communities, individuals and groups, mostly in the East of Scotland.  Louise strongly believes in the principles of community development; enabling people to recognize their own strengths and abilities, which is why the Community Facilitator Project is right up her street!  Louise is delighted to be working for In-Control Scotland.

Louise lives in Aberdeen and has a grown up daughter.  She has an eclectic taste in music and loves to dance.  Louise is also up for new challenges – but nothing too energetic at her age!” she says………….
