Partners in Policymaking Participants 2018 – 2019

Partners in Policymaking’ is an internationally recognised leadership development programme for parents of disabled children (up to the age of 18) and for disabled adults, including people with learning difficulties, sensory impairments and physical impairments.  The programme is a chance for participants to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to campaign and advocate for better treatment and social justice for disabled people within our society.   Participants on the programme are a mix of disabled adults and parents of disabled children. The programme is designed for people who think that life for disabled children and adults could be better and want to improve the way things are now.

Due to core funding we received from the Scottish Government and along with other sources of funding,  we were able to run the programme  between 2015 and 2019.  We have now secured some further funding and are delighted to be able to run the programme again this year from November 2019 – June 2020.  This is a national programme, which attracts participants from all around Scotland and we actively welcome the diversity and different experiences that participants bring to the programme.  Click on the links to download further information:
